Final Day of Nationals... and Getting Back to Real Life and Writing

Today was a slower day for me. I attended a couple of workshops and another publisher author signing in the afternoon. Brenda Novak had one in the morning on staying motivated and positive. She had another in the afternoon, which I missed and didn't intend to. The luncheon speaker was Lisa Jackson. She was very entertaining as well as motivational.

Tonight was the Golden Heart and RITA Awards. Nice ceremony. Carly Phillips emceed. It was so crowded afterward. I had intended to look around and see who was who and mingle. But, claustrophobia got me. It was such a crush of people. Two lines for more than 1000 people to get dessert. Not the best laid plan in my opinion. Could be why so many people headed to the bar to eat and mingle.

Nationals are over and I'm tired. But, I am motivated to write again. So many new ideas. So many new books to tempt me to find other ways to use my non-day job hours... I will resist for a while at least. I must participate in the 70 Days of Sweat. I have to update my progress later today on Alison Kent's blog.

I hope to attend the convention next year in San Francisco. This year was a blast and I look forward to continuing on my writing journey and meeting old and new friends again and again.

It is technically Sunday morning, so I will sign off. I must make up for a week with several nights of less than 4 or 5 hours of sleep.
