IT"S HOT!!!!

No kidding! Hot, as in over 100 degrees. I. Hate. Heat!

I like temperate. I have a feeling I was born in the wrong part of the country. Give me mountains and mild days, cool nights. I want to be able to walk outside and enjoy it, not dread it. Ok, soap box over - for now.
Saturday was a good day. My friend, Miss Amie Stuart, had a birthday. She, Denise, and I celebrated by enjoying a few hours of conversation after our Yellow Rose chapter meeting and then going to see the best movie - Stardust. It's awesome!
You have to see it just for Robert DeNiro's part. It is hilarious! And I mean, totally not his usual character. It is a terrific fairy tale. Adventure, tragedy, comedy, and a love story, of course.
I hadn't been to the movies since, well, the last time Amie and I went. That day we saw Nancy Drew. Six weeks ago. Now my kids have been to the movies, but not me. I still haven't seen Harry Potter. Sad that. I still want to see Hairspray. And, there are a few "Coming Soon" that I want to see later this year.
I wanted to say "Hi" to my friend Roger. Now he can't say he hasn't been mentioned on my blog.

This week will be dedicated to the writing in the evenings. No Booster Club commitments, no travel for the job (a first in about 3 weeks), and no other evening demands. In a way it is sad, but mostly normal. School starts for my kids in about 2 weeks. They are totally bummed out about it. Me, too. It means I have to start back working at the office instead of at home. I have really enjoyed being at home and working. I get so much more done than I ever thought I would. I will still work one day a week at home though. That will be nicer than no days at all.
Happy Writing.
