My BGF's Amie and Denise head to Baton Rouge, LA., this coming weekend for a book signing. Damn, I sure wish I could go. But, who would keep an eye on my delinquents? The following weekend, Miss Amie has to attend another book signing in Stephenville. I told her I'd drive her and be her groupie. Besides, several other DFW area authors will be signing at the Hastings there and she can write on the way. She has a deadline coming up (Remember that deadline Amie????) Just kidding. I know she'll make it.
I cannot believe that it is only 6 weeks until Thanksgiving. Which means six weeks until I get another year older. Again, a depressing thought. I have a personal goal that is to be my birthday present to myself - finish this darn manuscript. It's started. I've got to get it to between 55K and 65K. Length will dictate what line I submit to. Either way, it's gotta get done! I like this story better than the first one I was working on, so I may actually do something with it when it's done. Like... actually submit it somewhere? hmmm
