Can you believe?

Santas warned 'ho ho ho' offensive to women Confused

SYDNEY (AFP) - Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday.
Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.
One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.
"Gimme a break," said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualizing children called Kids Free 2B Kids.
"We are talking about little kids who do not understand that "ho, ho, ho" has any other connotation and nor should they," she told the Telegraph.
"Leave Santa alone."
There's politically correct (PC for those who want to be, well, pc) and we have Obnoxiously STUPID! What is the world coming to? I swear. What's next? Rudolph can't reveal his shiny nose because it might offend bald people? Valentine cupids will have to wear full coverage outfits because those little toga things are too revealing? Leprechauns can't wear a green because it reminds people of green M&Ms (We used to say they represented being horny. What can I say, it was high school.)
We are being robbed of even the most innocent of tradition and fun because of a world gone mad with being PC. Between that and the ridiculous warning labels on everything from coffee to cake batter because of law suits, when will common sense and reasonableness prevail? I swear, a jury awarded a claimant millions because she didn't realize that if she put her RV's cruise control on, she needed to stay behind the wheel. She crashed. DUH! She sued the RV company... AND WON! As long as there is a buck to be made by complaining about something, that's how long.
I just wonder, when they select the juries for these tort claims trials, do they look for the people most likely to file such a suit themselves? I think so. Otherwise, I could still have my "hot" drink hot. Coffee-cup It would sure be nice if that cruise control thing really were an auto-pilot. It would make rush hour so much easier.
