Quiet Celebration

Tonight, I finally got back to my WIP.  I merged my document from my flash drive with my PC version, then had to do some clean-up, because it was totally out of order.  After that, though, I got back to writing my story.  I also decided to try and plot out a few chapters so that I have a bit of direction.  Amie and I discussed plot ideas several weeks ago.  Luckily, I saved that IM conversation.

I bought a plot board at RWA last summer and I finally decided to use it.  I now have a lot of sticky notes with sketchy scene descriptions posted on this board.  But, it is at least a guide.

I also bought Donald Maass's Writing the Breakout Novel.  I've been told it is a terrific writer's resource.  I will soon find out.  I know I have a lot to learn about the craft, not to mention development of better self-discipline.  But, I'm getting there.
