I Finally Did It...

I bought my daughter a mode of transportation. Me. The biggest chicken. She turns 18 in 10 days and I hope I won't regret it. Did she want a nice little sedan? No. Would I allow her a two-door sporty coupe? No. Given a choice between 2 cars and a nice little pick-up, what did she pick? A pick-up.

I'm glad we bought it, because it was a good deal. But... My sister said it best, "It is the most terrifying, liberating thing I would ever do."

She's right. At least now if something happens, my car can at least take me to her. Which wasn't possible when she'd take mine and I was stuck at home with no way to get to her.

So, I'll be waiting, chewing my nails, until she gets back from showing all her friends her new (to her anyway), cherry red, Chevy.
