I personally cannot wait for all of the choir concerts , music auditions, theatre auditions, productions, etc. that make a school year. Yeah, I know. The really important stuff in life it isn't to most, but it is what makes going to school worth while for my two. The eldest anyway. The youngest won't admit that he likes the fact that he does well in choir and was the only boy in his grade to make All-Region choir, a Class I at solo & ensemble, the only seventh grader to sing with the High School boys at our cluster concert, etc. I think he'd like drama if I could get him to actually join. He is an introvert with a comedian just waiting for release.
Tomorrow, I start off my son's year with a bang - volunteering at his school, helping kids find classrooms, etc. He's mortified on the outside , but I think he's pleased on the inside.
I had to post a picture I found today of my daughter's first day of kindergarten. She was 5 about to turn 6.
Time flies...
